Yesterday, happiness struck me. It was a golden feeling: something that could lead to tears of joy. I have my whole life ahead of me and nothing to tie me down. I don’t have a boyfriend, my family is supportive, and I won’t accidentally, or purposely, impregnate someone. All of us have constraints, but compared to most people in my life I am as free as a bird. I get to do and be what I want. I like ME. I believe in ME. I enjoy MY routine. I revel in MY creativity. Sure, I have close friends and family. However, in the end, I get to make my life’s journey with no one’s weight but my own. When I meet someone I really click with I’ll know. In the meantime, I’m not going to go out of my way to look.
